Background

For this project, I’ve took the interest of rebranding a 70s ABA/NBA franchise team known as the Carolina Cougars. In 1974, the Cougars played their last season due to the disagreement of working towards the NBA since areas like Greensboro, Raleigh, and Charlotte weren’t big enough at the time to support their growth.

As the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State basketball team continue to bring a large attendance to the PNC Arena, I believe bringing a professional basketball team for the NBA or G-League could make impact for the city of Raleigh.
